Fire in the Blood, the Shop in the Heart

My name is Matteo Deidda , and my story doesn't begin with a sheet of paper, but in front of a flame. I grew up breathing the air of Florentine workshops, in a family where home and workshop were one.

My clearest memory? I was five years old, spellbound by watching my father soldering at the bench. For me, it wasn't work; it was magic . That childish curiosity soon became a calling: at six, I made my first earring—a silver wire and a pearl—and even then, I understood that my hands were my instrument for communicating with the world. Sometimes I'd skip school to rush to the shop, where my small creations were already appearing in shop windows.

Sardinian Roots, Florentine Heart

My creations are a bridge between two wonderful lands. There's Florence , the cradle of goldsmith art, where I trained at the Porta Romana Art Institute and LAO (Le Arti Orafe), and there's Sardinia , my homeland. It's precisely from Sardinia's wild landscapes and traditions that I draw inspiration for my most intimate collections, striving to encapsulate the strength of a thousand-year-old culture in a single piece of jewelry.

The Alchemy between Tradition and Innovation

My working method is a constant dialogue between past and future. I don't set myself any technical limits:

  • Pure Craftsmanship: I work metal directly or through lost-wax modeling, an ancient technique that allows me to create organic and unique forms.

  • 3D Experimentation: Today, I integrate digital sculpture and 3D printing into my creative process. I don't see them as shortcuts, but as precision tools that are part of a long process of design and research.

The result is a mix of traditional Italian manufacturing and technological innovation , where each piece maintains its artisanal soul.

A Family Collaboration

Today I continue to collaborate with my father's historic company, Fiori del Tempo , where you can find many of my creations born from constant experimentation between the bench and the computer.
